BIOGRAPHY
Melissa Fielding is a talented new artist in the Boston area hailing from New York. From her beautiful melodies to her meaningful lyrics, Melissa's songwriting is only matched by her incredibly powerful voice. She captivates her audience with her genuine emotions that have been poured into each and every word.
Melissa knew she wanted to be a musician since a very early age. She recounts how she and her mother were kicked out of their local library due to her incessant yet sweet singing as a toddler. By the age of five she knew that music was the most important thing in the world, something she had to be a part of and create. From that moment on, she began her singing career.
Melissa competed in many classical competitions and performed in various places including Carnegie Hall and Eastman School of Music. After participating in New York's All-State choir two years in a row, Melissa discovered her passion for songwriting. Her love for creating music began when she wrote her first song at the age of sixteen.
As her musical palette grew, Melissa's classically trained voice complimented her new-found folk and indie-pop genres. Melissa has been compared to incredible musicians like Adele, Kate Nash, and Regina Spektor, all three of which are great influences on her own music and writing style. Melissa is currently preparing for her first album release. Check out her single, Hide & Seek Me, hopefully the first of many more in the years ahead.
